The All England Lawn Tennis Club, the home of The Wimbledon Championships, needs to recruit a Carpenter. The main responsibilities will be to carry out carpentry and joinery work and assist in the general maintenance of Club premises. The successful applicant will be an experienced carpenter, familiar with using wood working machinery and competent at small furniture making. Good communication and team working skills are also important. There is a basic 40 hour week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with an hour for lunch, although a flexible approach to working hours may be required from time to time. During the Championships fortnight, it is expected that the Carpenter will work at least 12 hours a day (including weekends).
