 2011 Wimbledon Championships

Wimbledon 2011: Monday 20 June - Sunday 3 July

 2011 Public Ballot

The majority of Centre, No.1 and No.2 Court tickets are sold in advance via a public ballot. Entry into the ballot does not automatically entitle applicants to tickets for Wimbledon but a place in the draw for tickets.

Applications for the 2011 Public Ballot will be accepted from August 2010 until 15 December 2010.

We will write to you by the end of March 2011 if you have been successful in the Main Ballot. Returned or declined tickets are continually re-balloted up to The Championships so, if you are unsuccessful in the Main Ballot, your application will be reconsidered at each stage of the ballot process.

Buying Tickets at the Grounds (queueing)

Approximately 500 tickets are reserved daily at the turnstiles for Days 1 to 9 for both Centre Court and No.2 Court and approximately 500 tickets are available for all 13 Days for No.1 Court.

Several thousand Ground Admission tickets are available each day. This number will vary depending on the number of people already in the Grounds, the number of courts in play and the weather.

 Other Ticket Sources

Additionally, many tickets are sold through The Lawn Tennis Association to its affiliated tennis clubs, schools, membership schemes and to foreign tennis associations.

 Ticket Resale Kiosk

The Club makes every effort to ensure that seat tickets which are no longer needed are made available for resale to people already within the Grounds. Original ticket holders are requested to put their unwanted tickets in special red boxes for collection by the Honorary Stewards or, if they wish to retain them as souvenirs, to have the barcodes scanned on leaving the Grounds so that a new ticket may be generated.

The tickets are re-distributed at a nominal charge from the Ticket Resale kiosk inside the Grounds.

The entire proceeds will be donated to charities including (but not limited to):

  • SPARKS (SPort Aiding medical Research for KidS)
  • The Dan Maskell Tennis Trust
  • Local charities

HSBC, the Official Bank of The Championships, Wimbledon, has generously agreed to donate to these charities in 2011 a sum equal to the total amount raised by the ticket resale scheme.
