Wimbledon: Visions of The Championships won the 'Best Illustrated Book' category at the British Sports Book Awards 2012, held at The Savoy in London. The book, curated and edited by the AELTC's official photographer, Bob Martin, and Committee Member, Ian Hewitt, captures the unique atmosphere of The Championships in more than 300 stunning photographs by some of the world's top tennis photographers.
A celebration of everything that makes Wimbledon the most famous and prestigious tennis championships in the world, the book charts the two weeks of The Championships in breathtaking detail, from the preparations to the start of play, and the moment the final ball is hit.
Visions of The Championships was selected from an extremely strong field, including Britain's lost cricket grounds, From the boundary's edge, Sir Steve Redgrave's Great Olympic moments, Mountain high, the 100 greatest British sporting legends, and When boxing was boxing.
