Wimbledon brings Christmas lights to Southfields

AELTC CEO Richard Lewis switches on the Christmas lights with Southfields residents
Monday 9 December 2013

The Wimbledon vicinity was feeling festive this week as AELTC Chief Executive Richard Lewis switched on the Christmas lights in Southfields. The second year of the partnership between the Wimbledon Foundation and Southfields Business Association, once again a large group of local residents gathered for the big switch on outside the tube station, which delivers 60 per cent of visitors to Wimbledon during The Championships.

"There are 90 years of shared history between Southfields village and The Championships and we are pleased to support for the local community in this way," commented AELTC Chairman Philip Brook.

Visitors to the Wimbledon Museum and Grounds will see that Wimbledon has been embracing the Christmas spirit too...
