The All England Club, Wimbledon, was saddened to learn of the death of photographer Anja Niedringhaus and would like to offer condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.
She was a regular attendee among the photographers at The Championships, capturing some of the most iconic images from recent years, including Andy Murray's history-making win last year, and Serena Williams' extraordinary leap in 2012, pictured above.
“She loved Wimbledon. It was almost her second home,” commented Associated Press photo editor Tony Hicks.
The thoughts and condolences of all who worked with Anja at Wimbledon are with her family, friends and colleagues.
