Tuesday 1 July 2014

Sabine Lisicki, the No.19 seed, reaches the quarter-finals with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 victory against Yaroslava Shvedova on No.3 Court.

The German, last year's beaten finalist, needed treatment early in the third set for a shoulder and neck problem.

She will face Simona Halep for a place in the semi-finals of the ladies' singles.

More to follow.
