Prize-giving weekend on Centre Court promises to be a test of nerve for those playing Fantasy Wimbledon.
At stake are two tickets to a singles final next summer - that's the prize for the overall competition - while the winner of the weekly competition will receive a pair of ground passes for Wimbledon 2015, as well as a towel. And let's not forget the pleasure to be had from winning your own mini-league. While there are only two matches remaining - with Eugenie Bouchard to play Petra Kvitova in Saturday's women's final, and Roger Federer to meet Novak Djokovic in Sunday's men's final - there are plenty of choices to be made, assuming that you have any transfers left over from your final allocation of five.
How can the four singles finalists give you the best possible chance of success? Would Federer be better as your 'Serve' player or as your 'Power' player? Would Bouchard be a stronger performer in the 'Mind' category or on 'Return'? And which of the four is going to generate the most number of points for'Net Play'? Depending on how many transfers you have left, you may have the option to add Bouchard and/or Kvitova for Saturday's final before then switching them for Federer and/or Djokovic for Sunday.
At this stage of the competition, there's a decent chance you're going to have opposing players among your selections; you will have to calculate whether one player can generate a high number of points without damaging their opponent's ability to also score a big number for you.
20:08It brings me no pleasure but it's time to bring the curtain down for another year. Seemed somehow appropriate to leave the last word to Roger Federer. Thanks a billion for reading. What a fortnight, what a final, fast forward to 2015 please...
