Mallorca Open Tournament Director Toni Nadal was present to help celebrate the Kids Day Tour Finals at the Santa Ponsa Tennis Club in Mallorca.
A tournament strongly linked with Wimbledon, the Mallorca Open is a key component of the enhanced and expanded grass court season promoted by the AELTC.
Additionally, Wimbledon advised the Santa Ponsa Tennis Club on how to grow and maintain grass courts, with Wimbledon's Head Groundsman Neil Stubley visiting the club last year.
And the Santa Ponsa Tennis Club welcomed a series of visitors for the Kids Day Tour Finals, with Nadal overseeing the action.
Nadal had been part of a wider team travelling around the Balearic Islands, putting on clinics with more than 600 young tennis prospects.
32 final contestants were invited to a memorable tournament at the Mallorca Open, with youngsters Alex Salom and Marta Tugores winning the male and female events respectively. Marti Lompart and Miriam Rodriguez were the runners-up.
The prize on offer for the champions was 20 tickets to the 2017 Mallorca Open, which they can distribute at their tennis clubs.
The Mallorca Open will take place from 18 June until 25 June at the Santa Ponsa Tennis Club.
