18:49And that's where we'll leave it today. Thank you for being there. Tomorrow will see the conclusion of ladies' qualifying in Roehampton, and plenty more superstars honing their grasscourt games at Aorangi Park. We'll be right here to bring you the highlights in (hopefully) handy bite-size chunks.
18:44Heather Watson puts up a fight before going out in three sets to Elena Vesnina, who goes through to the Aegon International quarter-finals. In the men's event there, Bernard Tomic and Feliciano Lopez are among those to have made the last eight.
18:32So we have four Americans, four Germans, two Frenchmen, two Aussies, a Russian, a Pole, and a player each from Japan and Chinese Taipei into the men's singles from qualifying.
18:27Michal Przysiezny, Matt Reid, Julian Reister, Wayne Odesnik, Dustin Brown, Denis Kudla, Jan-Lennard Struff, Jimmy Wang, Stephane Robert, Teymuraz Gabashvili, Go Soeda, James Duckworth, Bastian Knittel, Marc Gicquel, Alex Kuznetsov, Bobby Reynolds.
18:25That's it! Bobby Reynolds claims the 16th and final qualifying spot in the men's singles draw with a four-set win over fellow American Rhyne Williams.
18:22Just one singles match on court still at Roehampton and it's the all-American battle between Bobby Reynolds and Rhyne Williams. Reynolds leads by two sets to one and 5-2...
18:03"Marc Gicquel, the oldest man in the top 200 at 36 years and 3 months, qualifies for #wimbledon with a four-set win over Marti."
18:00We are fast reaching the conclusion of men's singles qualification, folks. Marc Gicquel is the latest to grab a prized spot, beating Javier Marti 7-6, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 for his second win of the day after earlier completing a second-round victory. Alex Kuznetsov is also through, the American winning 6-3, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5, 7-5 in a marathon encounter with Maxime Authom.
17:45Qualifiers for the main draw so far today: Michal Przysiezny, Matt Reid, Julian Reister, Wayne Odesnik, Dustin Brown, Denis Kudla, Jan-Lennard Struff, Jimmy Wang, Stephane Robert, Teymuraz Gabashvili, Go Soeda, James Duckworth, Bastian Knittel.
17:44More Bastian Knittel facts: he has only played four tour-level matches since turning pro 10 years ago. He has won one. His childhood idol was Marcelo Rios. This story is going to rock the world of tennis, I just know it.
17:31There's just three spots left in the Wimbledon men's singles main draw as Bastian Knittel upends 24th seed Flavio Cipolla 6-2, 7-5, 3-6, 2-6, 6-3. Knittel is 29 but this will be his first ever Grand Slam main draw appearance. Other things to know: his dad is a pensions advisor, he supports Stuttgart, his favourite surface is... clay. Oh.
17:20A sorry end for Laura Robson as she belts a simple forehand over the baseline to give Caroline Wozniacki a 6-4, 6-4 win in the second round at the Aegon International.
17:18A second Aussie man comes through qualifying. James Duckworth beats the far more experienced Michael Berrer in straight sets and like compatriot Matt Reid, Duckworth will play in the Wimbledon main draw for the first time. Bonza!
17:14So baking hot has it been today that the sprinklers have been out on the courts at Wimbledon. Can we just settle on this weather for the next two and a half weeks? Is that a possibility?
17:07Qualifiers for the main draw so far today: Michal Przysiezny, Matt Reid, Julian Reister, Wayne Odesnik, Dustin Brown, Denis Kudla, Jan-Lennard Struff, Jimmy Wang, Stephane Robert, Teymuraz Gabashvili, Go Soeda.
17:00And now there are only six spaces remaining in the men's draw as Jimmy Wang wins! The man from Chinese Taipei rattles off a 7-5, 7-5, 6-2 win over Malek Jaziri to reach the main draw for the fifth time.
16:54It's an all-American tussle over on Court 14 and Rhyne Williams and Bobby Reynolds are level at a set all as they bid to snatch one of the seven remaining main draw spots.
16:39First five-setter of the day on 7 at Roehampton and France's Stephane Robert is a break up in the decider, leading 5-3 over Dzmitry Zhrmont.
16:36Laura Robson is broken at precisely the wrong moment and drops the first set 6-4 against Caroline Wozniacki in their second-round Aegon International encounter.
16:25Julie, it's what all our lives have become - and there is no problem with that. A reminder that the draws are out on Friday, before the tournament proper begins on Monday. To get your full Wimbledon fix, you can follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Google +...
16:10"I'm so so excited for Wimbledon next week! This is actually what my life has become #wimbledon #excited"
15:55Qualifiers for the main draw so far today: Michal Przysiezny, Matt Reid, Julian Reister, Wayne Odesnik, Dustin Brown, Denis Kudla, Jan-Lennard Struff.
15:54"Tomic led 62 41 but comes through after a wobble to beat Benneteau 62 57 76. Wow won back-to-back matches for the 1st time since February."
15:48Dustin Brown and those famous dreadlocks are through to the main draw. The German beat Evgeny Korolev 7-6, 6-3, 6-2. He has played at Wimbledon twice before but is yet to win a match.
15:44No surprises: Jimmy Wang recovers from a break down to snatch the first set 7-5 against Malek Jaziri. When the going gets tough, Jimmy gets going. Go Soeda is rattling through his match against Boris Pashanski, leading 6-2, 6-2.
15:28Petra Kvitova - the 2011 Wimbledon champion - goes out in the second round at the Aegon International. Yanina Wickmayer wins 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 against the fourth seed. Caroline Wozniacki takes on Laura Robson in the next match there.
15:27No luck for Bally. Britain's Elena Baltacha goes down in three sets to Maria Kirilenko at the Aegon International. Li Na, Lucie Safarova and Jamie Hampton have already joined Kirilenko in the last eight.
15:13Jimmy Wang sailed through the opening two rounds of qualifying and our live blog favourite obviously fancied a test today. He is down a break at 3-2 in the first set against Malek Jaziri of Tunisia.
15:09A rare American loss. Aussie Matt Reid comes from behind to beat Tim Smyczek in four sets and the 22-year-old will play in the main draw of a Grand Slam singles tournament for the first time.
15:03"Are you guys as excited as me for @Wimbledon to start?"
14:59"After stopping Olivier Rochus buries face in towel, inconsolable. Woman comes out to give him shoulder to cry on"
14:56Not a great time for the veterans right now: Olivier Rochus is forced to retire from his final-round qualifying match against Wayne Odesnik with the Belgian leading 6-2, 6-2, 4-6, 0-3. Rochus - the 32-year-old diminutive Belgian - was bidding for his 13th appearance in the Wimbledon main draw.
14:47It's a sad day for the over-30s. Tamarine Tanasugarn's run of 16 straight entries into the Wimbledon singles main draw is over. The 36-year-old loses in straight sets to Yvonne Meusburger, who is a mere 29. Tanasugarn's best Wimbledon performance came in 2008 when she reached the quarters.
14:41Great news if you're playing Wimbledon Scrabble over the next fortnight. Michael Przysiezny is through to the main draw - make sure you get him on a Triple Word score. He was too good for Daniel Munoz-De La Nava. I'll be honest, my typing fingers aren't that sorry to see the back of the Spaniard. Sorry, Daniel.
14:36After a day and a half of waiting, Roger Federer has finally been spotted at the practice courts - looking resplendent in all-white. He was hitting with lanky South African Kevin Anderson.
14:27Oops. Might have given the wrong man a fanfare there. Denis Kudla of the United States just pipped Reister to the post, beating Ruben Bemelmans of Belgium 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 to take his place in the main draw for the first time.
14:23And the news is coming in thick and fast! We have our first qualifier for the 2013 Championships and it is... (fanfare)... Julian Reister of Germany, a a 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 winner over third seed Joao Sousa of Portugal. He will play in the main draw for the third time. Glueckwuensche!
14:18Svetlana Kuznetsova has withdrawn from this year's Championships with an abdominal strain. That means Klara Zakopalova moves into the seedings at No. 32.
14:09Colette, that is why they call this the People's Blog. I'm relying on you eagle-eyed tennis fans to point out my boo-boos. Apologies. Andy Murray once predicted on Twitter that Garcia would be the world number one in the future. I think that's where I got all confused.
14:06"I'm enjoying your qualifying blog, but have a correction. Caroline Garcia of France was never No. 1 in the juniors. Her career best ITF junior ranking was 5."
13:58The third round of men's qualifying is well under way. Olivier Rochus, Julian Reister and Denis Kudla are all one set away from making the main draw. Who'll make it first? We'll see...
13:53British interest in qualifying has ended with the defeat of Jade Windley by 18th seed Sesil Karatantcheva, 6-4, 6-1.
13:49And we're back: no-one qualified while I was gone, but the men's second round was completed as Marc Gicquel completed a 6-2, 3-6, 9-7 win over Farrukh Dustov in a match suspended by darkness last night.
13:13Grace Min is our latest winner at Roehampton, the American winning the third set 6-0 over 23rd seed Tadeja Majeric to move into the final round of qualifying. I'm retiring for lunch now, don't forget to follow the live scores while I'm gone.
13:09You'll remember - who could forget? - that Serena Williams was out of the practice courts yesterday in a spectacular cropped, lycra, multi-coloured, low-cut onesie thing. It's not easy to describe. She picked out a much more sober affair for her hit at Aorangi this morning. Just a day-glo orange top with matching (?) day-glo pink runners. For more of that sort of thing, don't forget to follow Wimbledon on Instagram...
13:05"These tweets from @Wimbledon are getting me excited about heading to the semi-finals! It gets better every year!!!"
12:54Tim Smyczek has the first set in the bag against Matt Reid - but there's a long way to go. The final round of men's qualifying switches to best of five sets. Hey, no one said making the main draw of the oldest Grand Slam was meant to be easy...
12:45British qualifying hopes now lie solely with Jade Windley. Naomi Broady loses in two extremely tight sets to third seed Caroline Garcia, 7-6 (6), 7-6 (3). Windley has just started her second-round match against Sesil Karatantcheva.
12:41Milos Raonic has a big serve so he ought to be competitive on grass right? It isn't turning out that way. The Canadian - top seed at the Aegon International - loses to Ivan Dodig. He also went out in the first round of Halle last week. He lost in the second round at Wimbledon last year after a five-set ding-dong with Sam Querrey.
12:28We should have our first qualifier in the next couple of hours: eighth-seeded American Tim Smyczek is up against Aussie Matt Reid in a third-round men's match. Meanwhile, Brit Naomi Broady is putting up a fight against Caroline Garcia - but the Frenchwoman will serve for the win, leading 7-6, 6-5.
12:15Racing through at Roehampton - which will be good news for the schedulers as rain is almost certainly around the corner. Second seed Galina Voskoboeva - now the highest seed left - is through to the final round, as is Michelle Larcher de Brito of Portugal.
12:09Don't forget, I'm anxious to hear from you - especially if you have tips to cope with 10 years without summer. You can tweet us @Wimbledon or email us at email@example.com. Go on, dare ya.
11:58A shock in ladies' qualifying as top seed Paula Ormaechea goes out 6-2, 6-1 to Australia's Casey Dellacqua. And fifth seed Eleni Daniilidou follows her out, as the former world number 14 retires while trailing 6-1, 2-0 to Irina Falconi.
11:48GB Fed Cup captain Judy Murray is down at Roehampton today watching Naomi Broady attempt to make the third round of qualifying. Broady is going pretty well so far, into a first set tie-break against former junior star Caroline Garcia.
11:44Come on Doug, the seedings are OUT already! Top seed on the men's side is Novak Djokovic, with Serena Williams top of the women's list. Rafael Nadal is the fifth seed.
11:40"When will the seedings be announced?"
11:40Casey Dellacqua duly snaffled that first set against top seed Paula Ormaechea, and is a set away from the final round of qualifying. The Aussie reached the semi-finals of the women's doubles at Wimbledon in 2008.
11:33Marion Bartoli - runner-up at Wimbledon in 2007 - has withdrawn from the Aegon International with a viral illness. Bon retablissement Marion!
11:25We have a result in already from Roehampton: Eva Birnerova goes straight into round three of qualies as her opponent Patricia Mayr-Achleitner has withdrawn.
11:19Top seed Paula Ormaechea is a woman who likes to live dangerously: yesterday, she dropped the opening set 6-1 before coming through. Today, she is 4-1 down against Casey Dellacqua in the early action at Roehampton.
11:17First up today though is the completion of the ladies' second round. Updates to follow...
11:00Day three of qualifying is just getting started at Roehampton - and (weather permitting) we should be filling the men's qualifying spots later. There are 16 men's third-round matches on the order of play.
10:50The Referees' Office has been busy already this morning: the seedings are out. They go according to the world rankings for the top five, so world number five Rafael Nadal is a potential quarter-final opponent for Djokovic, Murray or Federer.
10:42On the morning that the newspapers are packed with gloomy headlines about a permanent end to British summer, it is in fact gloriously sunny and quite hot in the south-west corner of London. Make of that what you will.
10:39Yes, according to the papers - and they're hardly ever wrong - we have TEN YEARS of wet summers ahead of us. Still, at least we've got something to look forward to: Wimbledon 2023 should be a belter.
10:30We have reached Day three, or Day Minus Five if you prefer. Busy, busy day of qualifying at Roehampton, practice at Wimbledon and weeping and wailing about Great Britain's weather ahead of us. Welcome along!
We want to hear from you! Tweet us @wimbledon or email firstname.lastname@example.org
