Biography

Spaniard Nicolas Almagro started playing tennis on his favourite clay court surface at the age of eight and has gone on to represent his country in the Davis Cup and Olympic Games at Wimbledon. The 27-year-old has been as high as number nine in the Emirates ATP rankings and won 12 career singles titles. He reached the quarter-final of the French Open in 2008, 2010 and 2011, and the last eight at the Australian Open in Janaury. Almagro trains at the JC Ferrero Equelite Sport Academy in Alicante and is coached by Samuel Lopez.
