Biography

Big-serving South African Kevin Anderson was introduced to tennis at the age of six and later played competitively at the University of Illinois for three seasons (2005-07). Known for his giant 6'8 frame, Anderson's best Grand Slam performance came at the Australian Open in January, where he reached the fourth round (losing to Tomas Berdych). The 27-year-old, who trains in Chicago, is currently ranked within the top 30 players in the world and has won two singles titles on the ATP Tour, triumphing at the SA Tennis Open in February 2011 and Delray Beach in March last year.
