Biography

Since Benjamin Becker defeated Andre Agassi in the American's final tennis match at the 2006 US Open, the 31-year-old has struggled to improve on his breakthrough moment. Becker's powerful serve, comparable to his namesake Boris (no relation), is the German's main weapon. In March 2007, he broke into the world's top 40 for the first time and has one ATP Tour title to his name (Ordina Open, 2009). Becker has never progressed beyond the second round of Wimbledon, losing at that stage on five seperate occasions.

20:24...But boy, it was a barrow-load of fun. I hope you enjoyed it even half as much as we did. Thank you for all your messages throughout, you've been the glue holding us together as the edges frayed amid the madness. Now if you'll excuse me, it's time for us Brits to raise a toast to Andy Murray and Fred Perry. British sporting legends both.

20:19It was the wackiest of Wimbledons with the most unlikely of headline-makers: Sergiy Stakhovsky, Steve Darcis, Michelle Larcher de Brito, Kimiko-Date Krumm, Jerzy Janowicz, Sabine Lisicki, Marion Bartoli...
