Biography

Some of Jeremy Chardy's earliest tennis memories were of Wimbledon and his idol, Pete Sampras' domination at The Championships throughout the 1990s. In 2005, he followed in his hero's footsteps, at junior level, by winning the Wimbledon Boys' Singles competition. The Frenchman is ranked with the world's top 30 and started the season with an impressive run to the quarter-finals of the Australian Open, losing to eventual finalist Andy Murray.
