Biography

Fabio Fognini was introduced to tennis at the age of four and quickly displayed his natural ability with a racket in his hands. The Italian is a clay-court specialist and reached the quarter-finals of the 2011 French Open. On grass in 2012, Fognini was the victim of two tough draws. He lost to Roger Federer in the second round at Wimbledon and Novak Djokovic, despite taking the first set, in the opening round of the London Olympics.
