Biography

Ernests Gulbis' grandmother introduced the Latvian to tennis at the age of five and he comes from a family who have links in business, education, law, basketball and golf. Gulbis is coached by former ATP Tour player, Guillermo Cana, and is known for his ability to serve big, move forward and attack the net. In Grand Slam play, Gulbis enjoyed a run to the fourth round of the US Open in 2007 and reached the quarter-finals of the French Open the following year.
