Biography

Poland's Lukasz Kubot is best known for his superb run from qualifying to the fourth round of Wimbledon in 2001. He defeated Arnaud Clement, Ivo Karlovic and Gael Monfils on his way to that feat, before losing to Feliciano Lopez in a five-set thriller, having had two match points to win the match. He is known for his ability to serve big and hit the ball hard, and is coached by Jan Stoces.
