Biography

Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu began playing tennis at the age of three with his older brother Pierre-Tves, who is a tennis coach in Strasbourg. He spent several years at the Nick Bollettieri Academy in Bradenton, Florida before moving back to Paris and capturing the French Open junior title in 2000. Mathieu has yet to go beyond the fourth round of a Grand Slam tournament, and in recent years, has struggled with injuries.
