Biography

Grega Zemlja began playing tennis at the age of seven when his parents built an artificial grass tennis court in front of their house. The Slovenian's father was a former ski jumper but he decided not to follow in his family's footsteps and concentrate on tennis instead. In 2012, he became the first player from his country to reach the third round of a Grand Slam, the US Open, and in May this year, broke into the world's top 50 for the first time. He practices in Kranj and is coached by Ziga Janskovec in his homeland and travels to Vienna, Austria during his off season to practice at the Berger-Eschauer Academy.
