Biography

Svetlana Kuznetsova began playing tennis at the age of seven in Russia and moved to Spain six years later to train in a new environment. The baseliner made her mark on the women's tour when she won her first Grand Slam title, the US Open, in 2004, and followed that with success at the French Open in 2009. The 27-year-old has established a reputation as one of the fiercest competitors on the circuit.
