Biography

Varvara Lepchenko started playing tennis at the age of seven in her country of birth, Uzbekistan, before moving to the United States aged 15 along with her father and sister. In 2007 she became a US citizen and is currently the country's third ranked female player. The 27-year-old resides in Allentown, Pennsylvania, but trains with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) in New York City.
