Biography

Italy's Francesca Schiavone made history in 2010 when she became the first woman from her country to lift a Grand Slam singles title, the French Open, and is known for her willlingness to grind it out on a clay court. The 32-year-old is coached by Laura Golarsa and lives and trains in Milan.
