Biography

At The Championships last year, Agnieszka Radwanska became the first Polish player in the Open Era to reach the singles final of a Grand Slam, before losing to Serena Williams in the final. The 24-year-old began playing tennis at the age of four after being introduced to the game by her father, who was a club professional. Having made a lightning fast start to her WTA Tour career, reaching a career-high ranking of number four in the world this year, Radwanska is seen as a player for the future and today. She is coached by Tomasz Wiktorowski, and interestingly, studies tourism (when not competing) at the Polish Sport University in Krakow.
