Top seed Flavia Pennetta produced an impressive display against Estonia's Kaia Kanepi to clinch a place in the final of the Abierto Mexicano Telcel event.

Pennetta, who claimed the title in 2005, will take on second seed Alize Cornet for the title.

The Frenchwoman, 18, cruised to a 6-2 6-2 triumph over American Jill Craybas in the other semi.
