Friday, 7 March, 2008 Unseeded Belgian Steve Darcis was the surprise winner of the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships after beating eighth-seeded Robin Soderling of Sweden in Sunday's final. Darcis won 6-3 7-6 (7/5) in just over one hour and 15 minutes. Soderling, who was upset by world number 58 Michael Llodra of France in the Rotterdam final last week, was looking to become the fifth Swede to win this tournament. On Saturday, fourth seed Lindsay Davenport of the United States claimed the women's crown with a 6-2 6-1 victory over Belarus' Olga Govortsova. It was the 55th career singles title for the 31-year-old Davenport, a former world number one. PA Sport
