Acapulco expert Pennetta lands title |

Tuesday, 4 March, 2008 Top seed Flavia Pennetta claimed a second title at the Abierto Mexicano Telcel tennis tournament on Saturday with a hard-fought 6-0 4-6 6-1 victory against second seed Alize Cornet. After breezing through the first set the Italian looked on course for a comfortable victory in her sixth consecutive final in Acapulco, but the 18-year-old Frenchwoman battled back to take the second set in her first WTA final appearance. But after Pennetta picked up an early break in the third set and again broke Cornet in the fifth game to take a 4-1 lead, she followed up her 2005 victory with a 96 minute triumph. PA Sport
