Through our various community outreach activities, we hope to provide you with relevant updates from all parts of our organisation – from the All England Club, The Championships and the Wimbledon Foundation.
For local residents living close to our sites – not just our main Grounds on Church Road – but also the Community Tennis Centre at Raynes Park and Wimbledon Qualifying and Community Sports Centre at Roehampton, we would encourage you to join myWIMBLEDON, our personalised digital experience. Through myWIMBLEDON we will be able to keep you updated with relevant news, information about activity on those sites that may impact you, and share discounts and offers for the Wimbledon Shop, Museum and Tours, and the Wingfield Café.
If you live further afield, but are still interested in hearing from us about our activities locally in Wandsworth and Merton, then please go into your myWIMBLEDON profile preferences and select ‘Community News and Benefits’.
Lastly, our Community team of Ulrika Hogberg and Johnny Perkins are regularly in touch with local residents and would welcome hearing from you on any matter, big or small. Please contact them via community@aeltc.com.

Since the beginning of 2023, we have been running regular guided tours on the southern parkland of the former Wimbledon Park Golf Course, welcoming over 1,500 visitors across more than 100 tours.
Each tour runs for approximately 75 minutes and is led by one of our Blue Badge Guides, covering the southern section of the former golf course where you get to learn about the history of the landscape, the proposals for the golf course and how we are increasing the biodiversity net gain on the site and looking after nature and wildlife. There is also the chance to see project boards, talk to AELTC colleagues about the scheme and get a hot drink before you set off on the tour.
Please note that the terrain is undulating and can be wet and muddy depending on weather and therefore, is not best suited for buggies or wheelchairs.
To register your interest in joining a guided tour, please email community@aeltc.com with the following information:
Further dates for 2026 will be added to this page later in the year.
Our Community Open Weekend is a special annual event that gives local residents the opportunity to explore the Grounds and experience everything that Wimbledon has to offer.
For one weekend every February, we open our doors to the community with a range of free activities for all ages to enjoy, including:
Each day features two sessions:
Morning: 10am – 1pm
Afternoon: 2pm – 5pm
To ensure that as many local residents as possible can attend, places are allocated via a ballot. Further information will be added to this page nearer the time.
Since golf ceased on 1 January 2023 on the Wimbledon Park Golf Club, the AELTC is now responsible for its ongoing maintenance and stewardship.
Those passing by the former golf course may notice that we are undertaking some surveys and necessary maintenance works on the land.
As part of the ongoing management of the trees across the Estate, we assess all our trees to identify any works that need to be done to ensure they are maintained in line with arboricultural best practice (tree health and safety).
A recent survey has identified a number of trees posing a safety risk that require urgent removal ahead of The Championships 2026. This includes the removal of several silver birch trees that have failed to come into leaf, along with a dead Leyland cypress located near the pedestrian gate opposite Bathgate Road. Two Norway maple saplings near the Home Park Road boundary have become exposed and unstable and pose a risk to the adjacent roadway, so will also be removed. Merton and Wandsworth Councils have been notified of these works.
If you have any questions, we encourage you to contact us at community@aeltc.com.
