Rules on accessing the AELTC Premises
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TO THE AELTC PREMISES AND GROUNDS OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS, WIMBLEDON

The All England Lawn Tennis Club (Championships) Limited, a private limited company incorporated and registered in England and Wales under registration number 07546773 having its registered office at The All England Lawn Tennis Club, Church Road, Wimbledon, London SW19 5AE (the “AELTC”) presents the Conditions of Entry to the AELTC Premises and Grounds of The Championships, Wimbledon (these “Conditions of Entry”) which set out the general terms and conditions applicable to all individuals entering the grounds of The All England Lawn Tennis Club (the “Grounds”) and immediate surrounding areas owned or controlled by the AELTC (being, together with the Grounds, the “AELTC Premises”) during The Championships, Wimbledon (the “Championships”) and throughout all other times of the calendar year.
1 Purpose and applicability of these Conditions of Entry
1.1 These Conditions of Entry apply to all areas of the AELTC Premises to which either:
1.2 These Conditions of Entry also apply to all other areas of the AELTC Premises to which members of the public are able to access from time to time as part of Championships ticketing procedures, in particular the “Queue” located adjacent to the Grounds and within Wimbledon Park (including all open areas, concessions, entrances and walkways comprising the Queue under the control of the AELTC prior to and during the Championships).
1.3 Each individual accessing any area(s) of the AELTC Premises with a Ticket (“Ticket Holder”) is bound by and required to comply with these Conditions of Entry at all times whilst entering, within and exiting the Grounds. Any individual authorised access to any of the AELTC Premises by an Accreditation (“Accredited Person”) is bound by and must comply with these Conditions of Entry to the extent they do not conflict with any other terms and conditions applicable to the purpose for which they have been granted an Accreditation. Any other person accessing any areas of the AELTC Premises (including the Queue) shall also be deemed bound by and must comply with these Conditions of Entry. Ticket Holders, Accredited Persons and all other persons deemed bound by these Conditions of Entry are collectively referred to herein as “Attendees”.
1.4 These Conditions of Entry may be reasonably modified by the AELTC from time to time by providing an updated version of them on the AELTC’s website at www.wimbledon.com. The AELTC also reserves the right to introduce additional measures and policies applicable to Attendees due to changes in applicable laws and/or changes to security, health and other risk considerations. Attendees are responsible for periodically visiting www.wimbledon.com and prior to attending the AELTC Premises in order to ensure they are aware of the latest and effective version of these Conditions of Entry.
2 Enforcement of these Conditions of Entry
2.1 These Conditions of Entry may be enforced directly by the AELTC, The All England Lawn Tennis Ground plc, a public limited company incorporated and registered in England and Wales under registration number 00168491, which is the owner of AELTC Premises, and any other group affiliate (collectively, the “AELTC Affiliates”) as well as their respective officers, employees and agents. These Conditions of Entry may also be enforced by the police, emergency services personnel and other public bodies responsible for ensuring the safety and security of individuals attending the Championships.
2.2 Any Attendee who contravenes any provision of these Conditions of Entry, or any Attendee whose presence and/or behaviour within the AELTC Premises could reasonably be construed as dangerous, offensive, a nuisance or annoyance to any other person (including but not limited to making excessive noise on any Court when a match is in progress), may be removed from any Court and/or the AELTC Premises and may result in their Ticket or Accreditation being cancelled without notice and without right to any form of compensation. The AELTC also reserves the right to take further action it reasonably considers necessary, including but not limited to reporting the Attendee to the police, issuing the Attendee with a ban prohibiting future attendance at the AELTC Premises as described further in Clause 2.3 below and/or issuing legal proceedings.
2.3 A ban imposed by the AELTC against an Attendee may result in the Attendee being prohibited from accessing the AELTC Premises for a period of up to five (5) calendar years from the date of the infringement of these Conditions of Entry. In respect of repeat infringers or in exceptional circumstances based on the severity of the infringement as reasonably determined by the AELTC at its sole discretion, the foregoing prohibition may be extended or imposed indefinitely (i.e., a lifetime ban). Full details of the AELTC’s policy on the prohibitions referred to in this Clause 2.3, including the applicable person’s right to appeal any such prohibition, are available upon request by contacting the AELTC in accordance with Clause 14.4 below.
2.4 All individuals authorised by the AELTC to enforce the provisions of these Conditions of Entry will hold a Championships or year-round Accreditation issued by the AELTC (as applicable). If an Attendee is in any doubt as to whether an individual is authorised by the AELTC to enforce these Conditions of Entry, please request sight of their Accreditation.
3 Accessing the Grounds and other areas of the AELTC Premises
3.1 Entry to the Grounds will only be authorised upon presentation of a valid Ticket or Accreditation, issued by or on behalf of the AELTC, and valid original proof of identity documentation, such as an original passport or driving licence, and/or such other proof of identity as notified by the AELTC from time to time. The AELTC further reserves the right to request an Attendee’s proof of identity at any time following their entry into the Grounds, whenever reasonably deemed necessary by the AELTC. During other times of the calendar year outside of the Championships, access to limited areas of the Grounds may be granted by AELTC without a Ticket or Accreditation at the sole discretion of the AELTC.
3.2 Attendees may only enter the Grounds via the entrance(s) notified by the AELTC or as otherwise directed by the stewards or security personnel outside the Grounds. Access to the Grounds for Ticket Holders during the Championships will be permitted during such hours as specified on each Ticket or as published on wimbledon.com.
3.3 Although the AELTC will make reasonable efforts to ensure that Attendees are able to enter the Grounds as expeditiously as possible (particularly during the Championships), entrance to the Grounds may be affected due to large volumes of Attendees arriving at the same time, increased security measures implemented by the AELTC at its discretion or other unforeseeable reasons which may not be within the AELTC’s control. The AELTC gives no guarantees as to the length of time it may take an Attendee to enter the Grounds. Attendees are strongly advised to arrive at the Grounds as early as possible.
3.4 Access to any areas of the AELTC Premises other than the Grounds remains at the sole discretion of the AELTC. The AELTC reserves the right to restrict access to such areas at any time without giving a reason and/or to require any Attendee accessing such areas to present valid original proof of identity documentation, such as an original passport or driving licence, and/or such other proof of identity as notified by the AELTC, whenever reasonably deemed necessary by the AELTC.
3.5 In circumstances considered reasonably necessary in order to preserve the well-being of Attendees and/or to prevent or reduce the risk of personal injury or damage to property, the AELTC reserves the right to take exceptional measures and/or to provide obligatory instructions to all Attendees which must be followed at all times whilst in force. Such measures and/or instructions may include reducing or restricting access to certain entrances and/or areas of the AELTC Premises.
3.6 THE AELTC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ENFORCE A NO-READMISSION POLICY TO THE GROUNDS AT ANY TIME (INCLUDING DURING THE CHAMPIONSHIPS). IN SUCH CASES, ATTENDEES LEAVING THE GROUNDS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ACCESS BACK INTO THE GROUNDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. ATTENDEES INTENDING TO LEAVE THE GROUNDS ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THEY WILL BE PERMITTED RE-ENTRY.
4 Consent to searches
4.1 As a condition of entry to the AELTC Premises, each Attendee consents to their person, vehicle (as applicable) and belongings being searched (including through the use of technical aids) by the AELTC, or authorised representative of the AELTC, prior to and (where reasonably deemed necessary by the AELTC) at any time following entry into the AELTC Premises. Any Attendee who refuses to any such search may be refused entry or immediately removed from the AELTC Premises.
4.2 Attendees must follow all reasonable instructions given by the AELTC, or authorised representatives of the AELTC, in respect of all searches including opening all compartments of bags and other containers and removing items for inspection as requested.
4.3 Any liquids which are non-transparent or contained in metal or opaque bottles which do not permit a representative conducting a search to ascertain whether objects are concealed within them must either be stored at a left-luggage facility (if provided by the AELTC) or surrendered prior to entry to the Grounds.
5 Prohibited Items
5.1 Unless expressly authorised by the AELTC (such as in relation to an Accredited Person’s terms and conditions of Accreditation), the following items are strictly prohibited from being brought into any areas of the AELTC Premises (together with the items referred to in Clause 5.2 below, being “Prohibited Items”):
5.2 Unless expressly authorised by the AELTC (such as in relation to an Accredited Person’s terms and conditions of Accreditation), in addition to the items referred to in Clause 5.1 above the following Prohibited Items are strictly prohibited from being brought into the Grounds:
5.3 Attendees are also prohibited from bringing any animals into the AELTC Premises, with the exception of Certified Assistance Dogs which are permitted in accordance with the AELTC’s Accessibility Guide available at: wimbledon.com/en_GB/visit/accessibility
5.4 The AELTC reserves the right to issue further guidance at any time on what may constitute a Prohibited Item, particularly in respect of political, offensive, discriminatory and commercial materials. Any determination as to whether an item constitutes a Prohibited Item shall been made at the AELTC’s absolute discretion whose decision is final.5.5 Attendees in possession of any Prohibited Items may be refused entry to or ejected from the AELTC Premises and/or may be reported to the police.5.6 Any Prohibited Items which are surrendered as a condition of entry to the AELTC Premises shall be deemed to be surrendered irrevocably and voluntarily. Attendees shall not be permitted to reclaim any such Prohibited Items which may be disposed of by the AELTC without any liability whatsoever.
6 Alcohol and refreshments
6.1 During the Championships only and subject to legal age restrictions, each Ticket Holder is permitted to bring into the Grounds, for personal use only, a restricted quantity of alcohol being an amount equivalent to either:
6.2 For the avoidance of any doubt, the restrictions in Clause 6.1 above do not apply to alcohol-free (i.e., 0.00% ABV) beverages.
6.3 Attendees are strictly prohibited from bringing any quantities of spirits, fortified wines or other beverages of high alcoholic volume into any areas of the AELTC Premises.
6.4 The consumption of alcohol is permitted only in public bars and other authorised areas. Glass drinking vessels may not be used on Show Courts. All corked bottles, including bottles of Champagne and sparkling wine, must be opened prior to being taken into the seating areas of any Court.
6.5 Hot and/or strong-smelling food may not be taken onto any Show Court.
6.6 Anyone found to be in contravention of this Clause 6 may be refused entry to any Court and/or refused entry to or ejected from the AELTC Premises.
7 Behaviour at the Grounds
7.1 Unless expressly authorised by the AELTC where appropriate, such as in relation to an Accredited Person acting in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions of their Accreditation, each Attendee must at all times whilst at the AELTC Premises:
7.2 Unless expressly authorised by the AELTC, where appropriate, such as in relation to an Accredited Person acting in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions of their Accreditation, the following behaviours and activities are strictly prohibited for all Attendees whilst at the AELTC Premises:
7.3 Any person who is reasonably suspected by the AELTC or any authorised representative of the AELTC of having committed, being likely to commit or assisting any other person in committing a criminal offence within the AELTC Premises may be removed from the AELTC Premises at any time and reported to the police.
8 Courts and other restricted areas
8.1 Unless expressly authorised by the AELTC, no Attendee is permitted access at any time:
8.2 Any failure to adhere to these restrictions may result in the Attendee’s Ticket or Accreditation being cancelled without notice, the Attendee being immediately escorted from the Grounds and/or the Attendee being reported to the police.
9 Supervision of children and minors
9.1 All children under the age of sixteen (16) must attend the Grounds, the Queue and all other AELTC Premises in the care of a supervising adult aged eighteen (18) or older. The supervising adult, being a parent, guardian or other authorised supervisor, assumes responsibility at all times for those individuals in their care.
9.2 During the Championships, subject to the child having a valid Ticket and provided they are accompanied by a supervising adult, children aged between five (5) and fifteen (15) are permitted entry into all Courts.
9.3 During the Championships, babes in arms and children under the age of five (5) are not permitted entry into the Show Courts. The foregoing restriction is in place in order for AELTC to achieve the legitimate aim of limiting disruption and reducing noise in the Show Courts for the benefit of the participating players.
10 Use of CCTV
10.1 Each Attendee acknowledges that CCTV cameras are in use throughout the AELTC Premises and that the AELTC may use or pass to the police or other relevant authorities any CCTV recordings in connection with any police investigation and/or for use in ongoing or anticipated legal proceedings. 11 Filming and recording at the Grounds
11.1 During the Championships, various filming, broadcasting, photography and other recording takes place at the AELTC Premises. By attending The Championships, each Attendee acknowledges and, so far as is necessary under applicable laws, consents to being filmed, photographed and recorded by the AELTC, its licensees and/or any other third parties appointed by the AELTC.
11.2 Each Attendee grants to the AELTC, its licensees and any third parties appointed by the AELTC the unrestricted right and licence to use worldwide and in perpetuity the Attendee’s image, name, likeness, actions, voice and statements in connection with any live or delayed broadcast, transmission or reproduction of the Championships by means of live or recorded video and/or audio display, broadcast or other transmission or recording, photographs or any other current and/or future media technologies without any requirement for payment of money or other form of consideration and without credit or notice. The Attendee unconditionally waives in advance all rights and actions seeking to oppose such use.
11.3 Each Attendee acknowledges and accepts that the licence granted above (including the use of personal information provided thereby) is in the AELTC’s legitimate interests as it enables the AELTC: (i) to publish, display, sell and distribute the Championships by means of film, television, radio, print media, internet, publicity material and any other media now known or in the future (and to permit its licensees and those authorised by it to do the same); and (ii) to use such materials for safety and security, promotional, training, editorial or marketing and promotional purposes (and to permit the AELTC’s commercial partners and accredited media organisations to do the same). 12 Assignment of intellectual property
12.1 Each Attendee acknowledges and agrees that the AELTC is the sole legal and beneficial owner of any and all intellectual property rights (including copyright and database rights) in any images, footage, data and other material taken or recorded within the AELTC Premises, including by the Attendee. Subject to clause 12.2 below, the Attendee hereby assigns (by way of present assignment of future rights) any rights they may have in respect of such material to the AELTC and waives all moral rights in the same. To the extent such assignment is not effective under applicable laws, the Attendee hereby grants to the AELTC an exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use and exploit such copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights. The Attendee further agrees (if and whenever required to do so by the AELTC) to promptly execute all instruments and do all things necessary to vest the right, title and interest in such rights to the AELTC absolutely and free of all encumbrances and other charges.
12.2 The AELTC grants the Attendee a licence to use photographs or images taken by the Attendee within the AELTC Premises for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Save for such permitted use, any person attending the AELTC Premises shall not record, use or transmit over the internet, radio, television or any other current or future media, any sound, image, recording or description of the Championships, the AELTC Premises or any match taking place within the AELTC Premises (including any results, statistics, information or other data in respect of such match, whether in whole or in part) or assist any other person(s) conducting such activities. For the avoidance of any doubt, still photographs, film, videotape or other audio-visual material, digital or otherwise, recorded from within the AELTC Premises may not be sold, used, published or disseminated commercially in any way whatsoever unless expressly authorised by the AELTC in writing and any such material (or equipment used to capture such material) may be confiscated by the AELTC if such usage is suspected.
12.3 Unless expressly authorised by the AELTC, any capturing, recording, transmission and/or dissemination in any form of moving images of any aspect of live tennis play at the Championships for any purposes is strictly prohibited.
13 Assumption of risk; limitation of liability
13.1 EACH ATTENDEE ACKNOWLEDGES AND VOLUNTARILY ASSUMES ALL RISKS RELATED TO ATTENDING THE CHAMPIONSHIPS AND PARTAKING IN ANY EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES IN AND AROUND THE AELTC PREMISES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY, ILLNESS, LOST, STOLEN OR DAMAGED PROPERTY, TEMPERATURE AND WEATHER CONDITIONS, OFFENSIVE OR OBJECTIONABLE LANGUAGE OR MATERIALS AND THE ACTIONS OR INACTIONS (WHETHER NEGLIGENT OR OTHERWISE) OF OTHER ATTENDEES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAWS, EACH ATTENDEE HEREBY WAIVES ANY AND ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO SUCH RISKS.
13.2 EACH ATTENDEE ACKNOWLEDGES AND ACCEPTS THAT WHILE CERTAIN HEALTH PROTOCOLS WHICH MAY BE INTRODUCED BY THE AELTC FROM TIME TO TIME ARE DESIGNED TO REDUCE THE RISK OF TRANSMISSION OF COMMUNICABLE DISEASES (SUCH AS COVID-19), IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO ELIMINATE SUCH RISK ENTIRELY. EACH ATTENDEE ASSUMES THE RISK OF SUFFERING AN ILLNESS OR FATALITY RELATED TO A COMMUNICABLE DISEASE (INCLUDING COVID-19) AS A RESULT OF THEIR ATTENDANCE AT THE AELTC PREMISES AND AGREES (ON THEIR OWN BEHALF, AND ON BEHALF OF THEIR ESTATE, HEIRS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS) THAT THE AELTC, THE AELTC AFFILIATES, AS WELL AS THEIR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS AND OFFICIALS SHALL BEAR NO LIABILITY IN RESPECT OF ANY SUCH ILLNESS OR FATALITY UNLESS IT IS PROVEN THAT THE ILLNESS OR FATALITY WAS SUFFERED AS A RESULT OF THE WILFUL MISCONDUCT OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE OF THE AELTC OR OTHER AELTC AFFILIATE. EACH ATTENDEE AGREES NOT TO BRING ANY CLAIM THAT IS INCONSISTENT WITH THE FOREGOING.
13.3 THE AELTC (ON BEHALF OF ITSELF AND OF THE AELTC AFFILIATES) EXCLUDES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW ANY LIABILITY FOR LOSS, INJURY OR DAMAGE TO PERSONS AND/OR PROPERTY IN OR AROUND THE AELTC PREMISES. FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT, NEITHER THE AELTC NOR ANY AELTC AFFILIATE EXCLUDES OR LIMITS IN ANY WAY ITS LIABILITY WHERE IT WOULD BE UNLAWFUL TO DO SO INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY ITS NEGLIGENCE OR THE NEGLIGENCE OF ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR OFFICIALS.
14 General provisions
14.1 These Conditions of Entry have been prepared in English and may be translated into other languages. In the event of any discrepancy between the English version and any translated version, the English version shall always prevail in the event of any dispute or in the event of any conflict or ambiguity between the different versions.
14.2 Certain provisions of these Conditions of Entry may be restated in a condensed version on a Ticket or Accreditation. In the event of any ambiguity or inconsistency between the condensed version and the full version of the Conditions of Entry, the full version shall always prevail.
14.3 Should any provisions of these Conditions of Entry be declared void, ineffective, illegal or unenforceable by any competent court, regulator or authority, the remainder of these Conditions of Entry shall remain in effect as if such void, ineffective, illegal or unenforceable provision(s) had not been included.

15 Governing law and jurisdiction
15.1 Subject to Clauses 15.2 and 15.3, these Conditions of Entry are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising under or in connection with them.
15.2 The AELTC reserves the right to pursue legal proceedings in a competent court of the Attendee’s domicile for the purposes of protecting its intellectual property rights, where such proceedings shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
15.3 These Ticket Terms and Conditions shall not affect an Attendee’s statutory rights as a consumer (being a natural person for a purpose which can be regarded as being outside their trade or profession). In particular:
