The Museum and Museum Shop have step-free access. We have made arrangements by providing level access routes throughout the Tour, with accessible facilities. However, please be aware that the Tour route is 90 minutes and while the route offers level access, it is granulated due to the hilly terrain of the Grounds.
Although the AELTC does not provide healthcare assistance or personal assistance, we encourage you to consider bringing a companion to offer any necessary support. A carer ticket is available for free to your companion. If you arrive at the Grounds without the required support, the AELTC is happy to rebook you for a day when you have assistance or, if necessary, provide a refund. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or would like to discuss your visit to our Grounds.
Entry to the Museum is via stairs or lift (DDA compliant) to the floor below.
Seating is provided at various points around the Museum, and the displays are positioned for use by wheelchair users.
Accessible toilets are provided in the Museum Shop.
In the event of an emergency evacuation, wheelchair refuges are provided with communication, and staff are trained to effect evacuation by means of evacuation chairs.
