What is Qualifying?
Held one week prior to The Championships, the Wimbledon Qualifying Competition comprises gentlemen’s and ladies’ singles competitions to determine the final main draw places for The Championships 2026. To secure a main draw place, players compete in a knock-out tournament and must win every one of their matches across three rounds to earn one of the 16 Championships’ places in each of the gentlemen’s and ladies’ draws.
This year’s Qualifying Competition takes place from Monday 22 June to Thursday 25 June at the Community Sports Centre Roehampton. Tickets for pre-purchase priced at £20 will be available from early June.
Gates will open for ticketholders at 10am with matches commencing from 11am each day. More information on the Order of Play will be released closer to the Qualifying Competition.
A small number of tickets will be available for purchase at the main entrance each day of competition for £20. Please note tickets purchased at the main entrance will be paper tickets.
Common questions guest have when visiting for the first time
Public transport
If coming via train, the closest station is Barnes Railway Station which is a 20-minute train journey from Waterloo Station, and a 10-minute journey from Clapham Junction. Held at the Community Sport Centre Roehampton, the Wimbledon Qualifying Competition is approximately a 25-minute walk from Barnes Railway Station or a 10-minute journey via taxi or car if coming from the station.
Alternatively, guests can take the train via the London Underground to East Putney Underground Station, then take the 337 Bus towards Richmond, arriving at Priory Lane (stop N). From Priory Lane (stop N) it is a 20-minute walk to the entrance of the venue.
There are a number of bus stops which are a short walk from the venue, served by the 337, 33, 493, and 170 buses.
Bicycles
Bicycles can be brought to and stored at the venue but are not allowed beyond the entrance marquee. Bike parking is provided on arrival at the main entrance, and are stored at the guest's own risk. Guests will need to bring their own method of locking their bike. Any items left on bikes are left at the guest's own risk. There is dedicated hire bike parking on the corner of Bank Land and Priory Lane.
Parking
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any parking at the venue or in the surrounding area. All surrounding streets are for residential parking only.
Purchasing tickets
Tickets for the Qualifying Competition go on sale in early June and are available for pre-purchase for £20. All pre-purchased tickets will be digital tickets, accessed via the Wimbledon App. A small number of tickets will be available for purchase at the main entrance each day of competition for £20. Please note tickets purchased at the main entrance will be paper tickets.
All tickets to the Qualifying Competition are unallocated, meaning that tickets are not assigned to a specific court or specific seat.
Any children over the age of five years old will need to have a valid ticket to enter the venue. Children aged five years and under do not require a ticket for entry and can access the event free of charge.
After 4pm, providing tickets are not sold out, tickets can be purchased at the entry gate for £5 with children under 16 being able to enter for free.

Order of Play
More information on the Order of Play will be shared closer to the start of the Qualifying Competition and details will be available on the Wimbledon App. Gates open from 10am, with matches commencing from 11am each day.
Courts and seating
There are 18 match courts at the Wimbledon Qualifying Competition. Guests can enjoy each match with seating and/ or standing areas available alongside each of court.

Arriving at Wimbledon Qualifying
All ticketed guests will need to enter via the main entrance off Bank Lane. Gates will open at 10am, before play commences at 11am. There may be some queues for entry, so please ensure you have your ticket ready to be scanned by ticketing stewards at the entrance. All guests will be subject to a search in line with the Conditions of Entry before entering the venue.

GUEST VILLAGE
Food and Drink
A wide variety of both hot and cold food is available for guests to purchase throughout the day, as well as plenty of space for guests to sit and enjoy their food and drinks. Within the Guest Village there will be the following on offer:

The Guest Larder will be open between 10am and 7pm offering a selection of grab and go food including:

Water Refill
A water refill point is available in the Guest Village, next to the bar.
The Bar
Open between 11:30am and 7pm serving alcoholic drinks and soft drinks. Please ensure that after enjoying your drinks, you place your reusable cup in one of the return points provided.
Guests are also welcome to bring their own food and drink to the event providing that they adhere to the Conditions of Entry.
Wimbledon Shop

Mini Tennis , Learing and Family Zone
There are four mini tennis courts available for use near the guest village. Please note, during some periods these courts will be exclusively used for the Learning team.
Our Learning and Family Zone is run by Wimbledon's Learning Team, providing a dedicated, relaxed space with family-friendly activities. For safeguarding reasons, this space is reserved exclusively for invited schools and families with young children.
