Enjoy our new permanent, interactive gallery exploring the Open era. Sit on the bench used by Roger Federer in the gentlemen's dressing room, flick through the pages of Arthur Ashes' diary, and witness the power of Martina Navratilova. Discover the focus it takes to face your biggest rival on the most historic tennis stage, Centre Court.
The Museum has run several special exhibitions over the years, including one dedicated to tennis at the Olympic Games, another charting the evolution of the racket from the 1870s to present day, and a showcase of the spectacular tennis posters that have been used to advertise Wimbledon over the years.
Showcasing 148 years of tradition and heritage, the exhibition offers visitors an interactive journey through the rich culinary traditions of The Championships. Through sights, sounds, and smells, guests have the opportunity to experience Wimbledon all year round.
A Slice of History highlights Wimbledon’s iconic offerings such as strawberries and cream and is topped with objects and stories relating to Wimbledon’s historic partnerships and hospitality, whether that is food and drink served on the Tea Lawn, fine dining experiences in the debentures and Members’ enclosures, or picnics brought into the Grounds and consumed on the famous Hill through the years.
The exhibition also examines the player experience, tracing the evolution of sports nutrition over the last century.
Additionally, it showcases player sponsorships, exploring how food and drink endorsements have become famously associated with the athletes and the game.
Museum ticket holders may visit Centre Court, accompanied by one of our helpful Museum Experience team, on a short 15-minute visit.
These visits depart from outside the Museum Shop every hour at 10:45am, 11:45am, 12:45pm, 1:45pm, 2:45pm, and 4pm.
